Ilirija’s has grown on sound business decisions and it has developed into a successful company with a long tradition. The growth however has not induced us to rest on our success. On the contrary, it inspired us to further present ourselves in this highly competitive market as fast developing, dynamic, adaptable and modern company with great respect for tradition. We have set cost efficiency and consumers wishes as our main priorities, well aware that consumers demand a clean and healthy environment for themselves along with products of good quality. Ilirija is ready to meet all these needs and wishes.

The company, today known as Ilirija d. o. o., started in 1908, when the company's founder, Franc Golob, together with 6 of his associates started a company called Golob & Ko. They started manufacturing shoe and leather cleaning products for which Ilirija brand name was used for the first time. After some time, the factory was renamed to Ilirija.

Today, the Ilirija Group is a company with 180 employees and the full name Ilirija, razvoj, proizvodnja in trženje kozmetičnih izdelkov, d. o. o..

With the renovation of the production plant in Lendava in 2009 in accordance with the EU regulations on the regularity of cosmetics production, we have provided the optimum conditions for production, particularly for the key areas of hair cosmetics, facial cosmetics, and hair colourants. Investing in the production plant has enabled us to keep up with the modern trends that top-level products and high quality ingredients demand.

Thanks to many years of experience and investment in systematic training and development, we have the capacity to develop a product from the initial concept and first laboratory samples through to product testing, manufacture, and bottling. Among our ranks we have experts who specialise in the development of various types of semi-finished products and packaging. We are proud to be the only company in Slovenia to develop and manufacture products as demanding as hair dyes.

Ilirija has a long tradition of manufacturing high quality products, leading to the successful operation of the company. Our success is largely due to the fact that every product we make is thoroughly tested for functionality and microbiological safety. All hair care products are tested by our highly qualified hairdressers on human hair in our renowned Subrina Professional Studio. We also carry out tests in the development stage to verify the microbiological safety of all cosmetic products in our own microbiology laboratory.

The other secret of our success lies in regular training and the consulting services that we offer to our partners and end users. For hairdressers we organise regular seminars on the latest hairdressing techniques and uses of our products, while employees of various retailers are taught about our products in order to be able to offer suitable advice to customers at the point of sale.
